Transformation involves the effort of including more individuals from previously disenfranchised groups in the business to better reflect the demographics of the country. Transformation seeks to bring more representation of people of colour in the business world by employing them in various positions and levels in establishments.

In the South African context, transformation relates to societal change. Not just overcoming apartheid but addressing technological change.
